After several weeks and one stupid hoax later, Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes is new on Disney XD*! This episode, Captain America fights back the Skrulls as a “Prisoner of War.”
NB: The Aussies are so far ahead on the show, it’s not even funny.
Captain America, Madame Viper, Sue Richards (Invisible Woman), and others start a posse to escape from a Skrull base in outer space. The Skrull’s resistance, led by the Super-Skrull, won’t have any of that business. This green jerk possesses the Fantastic Four’s powers. One big slugfest later, the prisoners leave the base in a Skrull ship.
Along the way, we see that Galactus is the catalyst for the Skrull’s Earth invasion. Cap, noble Avenger that he is, almost sacrifices himself for those he’s saving. However, the Skrull Queen decides the infiltration continues in Wakanda, New York City, and Washington, D.C. Skrull Cap looks to be leading the Skrull Avengers to Skrullfully Skrull the Earth.
This episode starts the Skrull War arc. It’s about time, too!
