Invincible #111 Review (SPOILERS)

I think someone forgot to hit the shift key on this issue when they put it to print. It should read “Invincible!!!” This was by far the craziest, most game-changing issue to date! Robert Kirkland keeps throwing twists at Mark (Grayson) forcing him to adapt throughout the issue. Mr. Kirkland’ character building level is over 9,000!!!

And Ryan Ottley: CONGRATULATIONS ON 100 ISSUES!!! Your art is such a huge part of the legacy that this series has become! Even after all this time, I am glad to say that the art in this book has kept me a believer in the art of storytelling and kept my need for consistency whelmed.

I love that when I pick up an issue of Invincible I know I am going to be happy. It’s one of the best feelings and the fact that every issue of the series just keeps getting better is an added bonus.

Invincible #111 Spoilers

This issue, even after the Viltrumite War, was one of the bloodiest, most violent and action-packed issues ever! I mean you have deaths and then you have Earth-shattering, teeth-cringing, mind-blowing DEATHS! I understand there is an end-game here but I will truly mourn the loss of Cecil. That’s two father figures you took from me this year Mr. Kirkman (Herschel). But I will live on knowing that their deaths have helped develop the stories in which they have taken part of.

Never, in my life, have I been able to look back at a series and say I enjoyed every minute of it. This is a series I am glad to have been a part of for the better part of a decade. The best part? Even after 111 issues, I can still be surprised. That’s why I’ll always read this book.
