Directed by Jack Walsh.
Four Days at Dragon*Con is a congenial look at Atlanta’s late-summer geek extravaganza. There’s no lack of footage of people walking along in various costumes and the usual supply of talking heads such as chairman Pat Henry, musician Voltaire, and, instantly recognizable to me, Erin Gray.
Where Days doesn’t present new innovations to documentary filmmaking and uses a bit too much footage from old films, it makes up for it in presenting affable and enthusiastic participants. Days shows the nuts and bolts of robotics, cosplay, steampunk, and other familiar geek pastimes. Atlanta PBS affiliate WPBA’s movie is a fun tribute at the never-boring geek/nerd culture. Three hooves out of four.
