This episode, titled “The Kiss,” fun here: A battle between detective Burkhardt and the feline Mauvais Dentes and another battle between the mother Grimm, Kelly Burkhardt (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) and Hexenbiest Catherine (Jessica Tuck). Nick and Renard are both doing their best to get out of the Feds’ crosshairs. Juliette is out of the coma just in time through Rosalee’s eye potion, but “Prince Charming” Renard kisses her awake after he ingests Catherine’s impropriety-cleansing liquid giving him a pure heart to make the kiss work.
Take a wild guess at Juliette’s fate when Nick visits his fiance? No, really, take a guess, you’ve probably watched this scenario play out before.
Anyway, Kelly may be a recurring character and Silas Weir Mitchell‘s Monroe is trying for new ways to get screentime. Maybe he’ll have to go through the two Renards? Maybe the writers need sharper writing? Let’s look forward to next week when good ol’ Hank may find out Nick’s Grimm-ness.
Rating: Three out of four hooves.
