This episode is where Beck becomes more aggressive and learns “The Price of Power.”
“Price” is where Beck possess a funky looking reddish disc and kicks butt. Tron wants Beck not to let fall in Tessler’s hands. I’m also pleasantly surprised we get a Beck vs. Tessler fight this early (supposedly there are 18 episodes of Uprising). We also get to see how Zed and Mara truly care for each other. Awww.

Much of the action takes place in Able’s garage where there is a tank built for Tessler. Poor Able gets injured midway through. He’ll be fine, though. Especially after believing that Tron Lives after witnessing the Renegade in action.

The idea of a angrier Beck is appealing, but Elijah Wood wasn’t fully convincing voicing the “new” Beck. Tobey Maguire was probably better as emo Peter Parker in Spider-Man 3. It’s neat to see the reveal of Tessler’s stretchy laser hand of doom. Later on, Pavel possess the evil disc and gets a taste of power himself. It leads to a cool fight scene between him and Beck.
Beck eventually has the evil disc destroyed. However, Pavel loves anger and aggression so much that he has made himself another disc. Prediction: Pavel will soon end up taking the fall for Tessler soon in a fit of rage against the Renegade.
Not much Paige this week. Definitely no Olivia Wilde. Sorry, 18-49 male demographic. However, death means something in the Grid and our heroes want to prevent derezzings from even the bad guys. Hello, 18-49 female demographic.
