#5) Supercrooks #3
Significance of this cover? You get to see the Oceans Elven of the villain community come together over a plan and dinner. This is the first cover after The Gladiator has joined the team…unwillingly of course. But nonetheless he is in it up to his knees now.
#4) The Ultimates #11
I can NEVER get enough of seeing Tony Stark creating new Iron Man suits. The fact that this character is a billionaire and creates all of his own stuff even though everyone knows his identity is beyond me. I am a sucker for seeing suits “in progress” and this cover gives me just that.
#3) Mind The Gap #1 Variant Cover
The colors threw me off for a second but I got it. I love how she’s “beside herself” and doesn’t understand what is going on. This cover BEGS you to pick the book up. At least it did that to me. I ended up buying multiple copies because I loved the cover so much.
#2) Animal Man Annual #1
I can’t get enough of this series and the art is just one of the reasons. The fact it ties into Swamp Thing (another series I have come to adore) made me rip this book from the shelf when I saw it. These two have benefited the most from the reboot and there is no denying that. This cover depicts the eternal fight of the red and the green against the rot. Even though they seem surrounded, they odds have never been more in their favor than they are right now with these two on their side.
#1) Batman Annual #1
I refused to buy into all the Batman titles when they rebooted the universe but, needless to say, I found myself buying this one. The cover having batman in the snow and Mr. Freeze in the background just grabbed me. Seeing how it was also a part of this huge “Night of the Owls” even, I couldn’t help but wonder what was going on. This cover intrigued me to the point of breaking my silent vow of buying a Batman title. So, for that, it is my number one choice this month.
Until next month Kiddies!
